Christmas Signs DIY

This project is the product of a need for multiple fairly inexpensive gifts! {think teachers, secretaries, coworkers, friends & family}

It started with a 12″ wide x 1″ thick x 10″ long pine board that was purchased at the home improvement store for around $10. We then cut them down to 12″ squares and painted them white with matte finish chalk paint. I used my cricut cutting machine to cut a design out of contact paper (much cheaper than vinyl), I use both parts of the cutout to make two styles of signs.

I plan to make these two sided for multi purpose home decor!

After they dried I used a sanding pad to distress them a bit to achieve the “barn wood” look. I may add a little extra to these and will update this post with the final results!
